@Rachel a full 8oz is no joke, especially with a low supply...that's my supply range too. Poor husband....lol. Thank you 💞
In my defence, this was in the early days when I was really struggling with breastfeeding and low supply 😆 It was 4am and I’d pumped the most I’d ever got (only like 4oz, but at the time this was amazing for me!). I dropped it all as I went to put it in the fridge. I cried hysterically, my husband also came running downstairs. I think I cried for about an hour 🙈
Aweee I completely understand! I am 6 months pp been EP since birth early on around the 4 month mark I accidentally broke a 32oz glass mason jar full to the rim with my breastmilk as watched all my milk fall on the kitchen floor I was devastated 😭
@Kayyy oh wow. Devastated is the word! I cannot begin to imagine
@Charlotte ...the 4oz joy when you have a low supply is real! I know the feeling 😂 the husbands reactions are priceless in these moments.
I just ordered a momcozy, thanks for the heads up! I need to look at tutorials on how to take the milk out as I do NOT want to repeat your mistake 🤣
@S X Yep.. highly recommend looking it up. This Mama skipped that step, thinking I had it.... nope🤦🏾♀️. In summary. Take the motor out first before releasing pressure. If you find a good tutorial please post link here
My partner left my last pump of the day bottles out on the counter when I asked him to put them away… Went into the kitchen to get my parts for my middle of the night pump and saw 8 ounces of milk sitting there. It was 3 AM but yes, I did wake him up to let him know how upset I was. 😂
I feel like crying for you. I did the same thing a couple of times. There's not really a way for it to never happen again but to try to be very mindful of everything when putting the parts together and taking it off.
@Naomi I feel bad for the partners they are usually so clueless.. 😂. @Nikki thank you... I'll keep trying. "Liquid gold, liquid gold" is all I tell myself during and after pumping so I can handle with care
Been there done that!! Put the pumped milk on the side table and when I went to reach to take it into the kitchen fell on the floor. Was very upset!!!
@Jessica unfailingly. I'm like it's stable, I don't need to close it up. Nope, the flange just tilts it over....that's what I tell myself...lol
I spilt 8oz in the middle of the night once because I was so tired. I actually screamed and my husband woke up ina panic thinking something had happened to the baby 😭😭. I don’t think there is anything specific I have done to stop it happening. Last week I poured 2oz of fresh milk away without even thinking. My supply isn’t amazing so every drop is heartache. So no advice I’m afraid but I do feel your pain. ❤️ xx
