How do you feel about the term "geriatric pregnancy" being used in pregnancies of women over 35 years old?

Do you know that it actually comes from the Greek words "γήρας" and "ιατρικός" that mean old age and medicine respectively? And, whar's interesting is the fact is not used in Greece to describe pregnancies of a certain age, only medicine related to the elderly?

I'm pregnant for the first time at 39 and have been called an older mother. I don't care what term they use. My mum was 27 when she had me and was called a geriatric mother back then, didn't bother her either.

I honestly think all pregnancies should be just called pregnancies, and if for a number of reasons a pregnancy has some associated risks, then maybe we could refer to it "high risk pregnancy". The tag "geriatric" just doesnt feel right for the 21st century.
Also, really pleased for all of you ladies, hope everything goes well with your pregnancies :)

I’m almost 36 and it wouldn’t bother me. I’d be far more offended if one of the midwives asked me if I was going to ‘chest feed’

i know, i can totally relate, in the last 2 years i had 4 early miscarriages (we would never go pass the 6th-7th week mark to hear a heartbeat) and I will be 42 in April, so certainly we are over the moon with the fact that the pregnancy is going well, is just one of those things i'm thinking they could be different.
