When I had my first I found out quite quickly that just like ladies clothing there was quite a bit of disparity between brands and their baby clothes sizing. Here's my list of smallest to largest, in my experience!
•Smallest•
Primark
Fred & Flo (Tesco)
Nutmeg (Morrisons)
H&M
•Average•
George (ASDA)
TU (Sainsburys)
Matalan
•Large•
Pep&Co (Poundland)
Mothercare (Boots)
M&S
Next
JoJo Maman Bebe
Other notes: I'd recommend not tumble drying children's clothes. They are more likely to shrink, especially if you plan on passing them on or reselling outfits.
It is not recommended to use fabric softener on baby clothes as it increases flammability.

Yeah I agree with all of those. Nice of you to share with other mummas x

This is brilliant!! 👏🏻
We love the H&M 2-4 month range for our 7 week old baby 🤣 and M&S…they are by far the longest in leg length and foot length.
We did like John Lewis but it’s only up to 12lb 6oz whereas the M&S ones are 13lb 4oz 👏🏻 (talking as a mum to a 98th percentile baby for length and weight 🙈).

Pep&co run large!
I got my baby a valentines vest that was labelled as being “newborn” which fit him… he’s 13lbs and in 3-6 months normally 😂

I'll add it to the list!

Morrisons nutmeg I found run small!

@Harriet thank you! I'll add it to the list. No Morrisons local to me so never had any Nutmeg bits!

Mothercare from Boots are huge! So are M&Co but think they’ve gone busy now anyway

I've always found next and jojo run small. But I tumble dry so maybe they just shrink more than the other brands😅

This is great! Thanks for putting together, Mamas and papas also run really small 😊
