You can use tap water as long as you live in a safe drinking water area. Nursery water is nothing but distilled water. Distilling water doesn’t remove any harmful chemicals but will remove all minerals from the water. The benefit of tap water (if you live in a drinkable zone) is that you get the minerals. Reverse osmosis is just heavily filtered water. You can get a remineralization filter for a reverse osmosis system that will add back in essential minerals or you can do it yourself manually.

We use tap water. We had our lead levels tested through our local water bureau when I was pregnant, because of the age of our home.

Testing is a good idea! You can get free water tests near you. Home Depot is a popular one

I’ve been using tap water but I realized that my baby’s teeth are getting some white spots perhaps due to fluoride levels in my tap water.
Anyone have a take on distilled water vs mineral water from the store instead?

hi B! I highly recommend you take the little one to a dentist. White spots can also be caused by a calcium deficiency or even be an early sign of decay.

thank you! Will do that asap!

also I’d go with the mineral water. The natural minerals in water are crucial to our health and keeping us properly hydrated. Pure no mineral water can contribute to nutrient deficiencies

We just use the water from our brita water pitcher

I use a tap water that I boil in my kettle. Sometimes I use filtered tap water

I use distilled water. The hospital gave us some bottles of Enfamil water to use but its expensive so we switched to distilled didnt know bout the mineral issue. But we also use it to flush their gtubes so there's that

Reverse osmosis 100%

We’ve just been using arrowhead bottled water.. but mineral water is actually a good idea. I would never have though of that.

definitely keep using distilled for flushing g tubes
