Daughter won’t sleep

Hi, I was needing advice My 16 month old daughter used to be an amazing daughter up until a couple weeks ago after her grandma passed away. Now it has just become a complete battle I pick her up to sooth and cuddle her to sleep but she will just smack me away or push me away from her and will continue screaming until she passes out. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem with their kid around her age and their kid used to sleep well or any advice on how to get her to go to sleep
