Moved House
Hey ladies, any advice would be so appreciated. LO and i moved in with my mum in June last year when his Dad and I broke up. We lived there whilst I got deposit etc sorted to buy us somewhere to live just us two. We finally moved at the beginning of March and he was fine initially, he seemed to like "new house" but yesterday and today he cried his eyes out when we got home and was saying he didn't like new house and wanted to go to Nanas house. He cried so much he was screaming when I was trying to unlock the doorđź’” I'm so upset and worried I don't know what to do. Now I'm thinking buying the new place was a big mistake. Has anyone moved and had the same with their little ones? Any tips for getting them settled? Mumming is hard hey, I thought I was doing the right thing for us and now I'm not so sure and feel so guilty.

Thank you Alice, he's 2 and does speak very well. I did ask him earlier when he was calmer and all he said was "bit sad new house" đź’” I'm not sure he'll be able to articulate much more than that. The books are a great idea thank you. I know it's so huge for him, I'm hopeful it will pass but it's heartbreaking right now x
I’ve got a 2 year old aswell, it’s definitely a tough one, especially when they can’t express themselves, but time is a healer! You’re doing an amazing job, keep it up! There’s loads of books on Amazon! Xx

How old is your little one? This can be a huge transition for LO and he probably didn’t understand the whole moving house thing, transitions can cause children to regress and struggle to express their emotions, I’m sure you’re doing a great job! Maybe get some books to read to him for bed time based on moving house, they have amazing kids books out there! Just be patient, it’s all new to both of you! Wait for him to calm down and talk to him once calm, ask him how he’s feeling and why he feels this way! He will soon get use to it!
