Exclusively pumping

Is anyone exclusively pumping and of so how did it go, I pump every three hours and either get just enough to feed him or not enough at all and have to use formula to make up the remaining milk he’ll need. Any tips?

Have you tried to power pump yet? When i exclusively pumped for my oldest I had this issues and had to power pump to help get my supply up.

I was producing extra and had started a freezer supply until my son started cluster feeding and increasing the amount he's feeding each time. I went from having extra to barely enough and even had to pull from my freezer stock. I've tried power pumping and adding an extra pumping session. I also started taking Moringa and Goat's Rue a few days ago, which seem to have made the biggest difference so far.

eat like a glutton 😩 with lots of fluids. that’s the only way i make alot sadly!

Body armor can increase your supply try eating milky-mama supplements also

I eat a lot of oats and usually get between 8 to 12 oz per pumping session

@Felisha what’s power pumping?

@Esther is right. I only produce a lot when I eat and drink a lot.

@Talía I’ve been trying

My supply totally tanked despite all the lactation help, water drinking and power pumping. Seeing a consultant today, but feeling really down. Not hopeful we’ll be able to bring it back.

@Taylor that's a dream! I typically produce a little over 3 oz each time. Last night I got 7 oz for the first time and I was sooooo happy

@Arianna Power pumping is where you pump for 20 min rest for 10 min pump for 10 rest for 10 and then pump for 10

@Pamela the only downside is the constant engorgement and clogged milk ducts. Also my letdown is super fast so whenever I try to breastfeed from my boob my daughter ends up sick from drinking so fast. So I have to pump and give it to her in a bottle

I pump exclusively and I get 8-12 Oz per pumping session. I drink lots of water and drink a glass before and after I pump. My milk supply did tank once, then I realized that my flange size had become too large for my nipples so I ordered a smaller size and that helped. Finding a flange size that’s right for you really works wonders as well as finding a good schedule. Power pumping does help to build up supply, but once it supply is up I try to pump every 3 hours but at times I’m busy and I realize that 3/5 hours went by. I wish you success with your consultation hope you’re able to get your supply up
