Waking up and screaming

Good morning guys, what can I do to stop my baby from screaming from the top of her very good lungs each time she wakes up in the middle of the night and doesn’t have her dummy? The second I give it to her she stops and is sleeping again until it falls out again. This is a very new behaviour and I’d love to somehow stop it, send help please!

Let me know when you find an answer lol Mine is 11 months old now and much better but still wakes up 2 times or so looking for the dummy. But as soon as we give it she knocks out

Yeah same but the problem is she screams so loudly and once I’m awake I can’t go back to sleep again at all so mumma is getting very tired with just a few hours sleep a night! And it’s a crappy way to wake up (in shock/scared)! I wish us both luck! Xx

She either needs to learn how to put it back in, or you need to get rid of dummy lol

That’s what I’m thinking…, get rid of it… but it’s worth a million dollars! Lol maybe more!

Use a short dummy strap and attach it to their sleeping bag. They’ll learn to find it in the middle of the night and put it back in their mouth.

As others have said you need to teach Bub to put it back in. My LO could find one (we literally put 10 dummies in the cot and had mesh air wraps on the side to stop them falling onto the floor). She could find and replace the dummy at about 5.5 months. We don’t really hear from her all at nights and she knows she’ll find a dummy so doesn’t cry.
