Is my daughter too big for a mini crib?
My daughter just turned 8 months old yesterday, and is approximately 16.5lbs and about 26in. Right now she’s sleeping in her Pack N Play but I just read online that the weight restriction for using it as a bassinet is 15lbs.
Anyway, long story short I’m not ready to move her into her own room (our doctor recommended 12m for that) but my bedroom can’t fit a full size crib. Does anyone here have a mini crib or does anyone know if my baby would fit in a mini crib based on her weight & height?
I was looking at the Walmart online “Dream on me 4 in 1” one or whatever it’s called. It’s hard for me to visualize how big or small it actually is but I can’t find anywhere locally that has mini cribs in-store.

My LO is 8 months 22lbs and I still use the bassinet of the packnplay he’s just starting now to sit himself up so I will remove it shortly but I’d say your fine
My LO is bigger and thats the mini crib we got at the start of march, have the same issue with our room its very small just enough for one bed with 2 side tables. Its roomy ! He has enough space to roll in and makes sure to try out every corner in his sleep 😩 for a kind of idea, the width is roughly the width of a pillow. Its not overly huge but not tiny your LO would be good in it.
Aren’t mini cribs tiny? I’ve seen one, the look like they are meant for newborns
Does she move a lot? My son loves a lot in his crib and a mini crib wouldn’t be enough room but then again he is about 20 lbs
well see that’s what I was thinking, too. I was confused cause the one I was looking at looked small and the measurements seemed fairly small, but the weight limit was 50lbs and converts into a toddler bed. So one could assume I can use it for my baby now. But I wasn’t exactly sure lol

she only just started to move around a lot in her pack n play. I’ll put her one way, wake up and she’s on her tummy in the complete opposite direction 😂 literally just started in the last couple of days! Didn’t think to take that into consideration so thanks for mentioning it!
no problem! Yeah they tend to move around a lot when they start. When my son was still in his bassinet, he’d wake up a lot cuz he would bang some part of his body onto the bassinet and wake himself up…
You could try the baby bjorn travel crib light, it has a mattress and is flat on the floor. I think you can use it until 3 years old.
