What weight is everyone’s baby weighing at 36 weeks ?

On average babies gain half a pound a week from 36 weeks so if your little one arrives at 40 weeks they’ll be around 8lb 1 1/2oz which isn’t huge; just slightly above average. The average weight of a 40w baby in the UK is 7lb 8oz x

That is just an average though. My daughter was estimated as 5lb 4oz between 35 and 36 weeks and she was born at 40 weeks weighing 6lb 3oz so she only gained 1lb in the last 4 weeks x

At my 36 weeks scan she was weighing 6lbs 4oz and they said if she continues to grow like this that she will be 8lbs 2oz. But I have been told that these can be really inaccurate x

I had a growth scan at 35+1 and he was roughly 5lb 6oz🙄, I have another on Thursday so I will be 38+1, I’m dreading what he could be😂xx

The estimates are really inaccurate and typically overestimate weights. In one study of 86 women, they overestimated large babies, they were inaccurate for 66 of those women- that’s a 77% inaccuracy rate.

I was told In two of my previous pregnancies that my babies would be 12Ibs, they wanted to do a section or early induction. I gave birth spontaneously at 40 weeks. Both babies were just over 7Ibs.

The typical weight for UKbabies is 7Ibs-9Ibs.

The easiest birth I had, was my son and he was 9Ibs, bigger babies tend to be easier birth because the weight helps them descend the birth canal more easier

My son was 8lb 4oz and as of yet he was my hardest birth. My other son was 7lb 15oz and I’m waiting to see how this one goes in 2 and a bit weeks time :) haha xx

Scan at 36w 4days baby est 6lb 1 atm

7lb 5oz at 36 weeks. Being induced at 38 weeks so I’m not worried about her being a big baby.

My last growth scan was at 34 weeks and my little girl measured 6lb 🙈 apparently it’s still within the norm but I’m not looking forward to the labour 🤷🏼‍♀️😂xx

At my 35 week app she was measuring around 6lb 4oz have another next week at 37 weeks! Midwife told me that was right on track and average
