Asbestos floor removal

How toxic is asbestos? We are thinking to remove floor? Should we get hotel for our baby? 2months old or just put floating floor on top and dont touch the asbestos at all

It’s breathing it that’s a problem I believe… I wouldn’t be in the home at all, you or the baby. You don’t want to get cancer or lung issues!

Don't touch that yourself or have it done while you are there. It's usually fine as long as it's not disturbed but dangerous as it will become airborne and that's when it's most dangerous.

Don’t touch it at all. Just float the floor on top. It’s quite bad for you when disturbed. It has to be taken out and disposed of very specifically by licensed companies specializing in asbestos removal. 🙅🏼‍♀️

If it’s removed, it’s hazardous waste disposal and has to be done very carefully. Putting flooring on top would avoid this. It’s fine if it’s underneath and not t something that being breathed/eaten/etc.

So toxic. I would stay at a different location if possible.

FLOOR ON TOP! We had the same issue. I was days away from giving birth and we opted to put floor on top. It’s not worth the risk, the stress — everything.
