Washing baby’s clothes?

When did everyone make a start on washing babies clothes? I’m 32 weeks and want to make a start so I can organise the wardrobe etc. but I’m worried that in 8 weeks I’ll feel like they need washing again!

I’m nearly 33 weeks and I’ve just started. I am supposed to be getting induced early so I really want to start sorting my hospital bag out so that’s why I’ve started so i have time to organise everything etc x

Going to start Washing baby stuff at 30 weeks. My partner would have started weeks ago if i had let him

I'm washing everything as I buy so it's easier to understand what I do and don't have...

Avatar

are you washing just newborn stuff or even later stages 6-9 etc?

Avatar

I washed everything last week , when I was 32 weeks

Avatar

I’m 33 weeks! I think it’s maybe another two washes I need to do then all will be done x

I was a psycho and washed everything up to 1 year lol. I would just make sure you have newborn and 0-3 done, everything else you can do later

I’m 31 weeks on Monday and I’m going to start washing them this weekend with the nice weather around too. Mainly because with my last child I was hospitalised from 36 weeks and had him at 37 weeks and left everything too late so my husband had to sort bags etc out.

I’m gunna wash all newborn and 0-3 start of June just I heard after 7weeks bacteria can form back on the clothes. Not sure how true it is but also don’t have time right now as work is so busy 😂 and moving x

I’m 30 weeks and I’ve washed everything this week whilst I’ve had a couple of days off work. I don’t want it to be a mad rush when I stop work for maternity leave, and I want to have time to batch cook healthy meals for the freezer and other things instead. I also really wanted to get the wardrobe and drawers sorted out ready 🥰 xx

I’m 29 weeks and I’ve washed new born and 0-3 I couldn’t help myself I think nesting mode kicked in early for me

Avatar

I was thinking of washing everything up to 3-6 months just so I don’t have to do it when baby is here among all the other washing xx

Avatar

that’s what I was worried about, it seems like a long time between washing and baby actually wearing them! But then I don’t want to leave it too late and if she comes early nothing is washed 🤣 x

Avatar

Are you washing baby blankets and teddies as well?

Avatar

I’m washing blankets didn’t even think of teddy’s to be honest but now I’m not sure 😂

Avatar

I’ve washed blankets but not teddies 😱x

Avatar

Yeah I'm washing all blankets, bouncer covers etc. but was thinking about teddies as well as they go near their face and they put them in their mouth and everything.. but maybe I'm just in the crazy nesting mode 😂

Avatar

Most teddy's are not designed to go in the wash machine their wipe clean only. My partner used are handheld steam cleaner to given them a clean.
