I start work either tomorrow or on Friday! My daughter is now 8 months and I’m so scared and nervous!

So I Brest feed and if I’m away from the kids more than 2 hours I begin to be in lots of pain. Alsooooo I’m scared to leave them for 8/ 10 hours. I never been away from them that long. Especially my young baby! I know my toddler will miss me but he will be fine. My baby is still very dependent on me from milk and cuddles. Any tips or suggestions? Maybe even a successful story to cheer me up??

It’s tough mama! Are you going to have baby in a daycare or is a friend/relative watching them at home? I always slept with a baby blanket the night before so my baby had the blanket the next day and it smelled like me. Ask to receive text updates/pictures throughout the day for you to see and feel at ease. Make sure your work gives you time and space to pump! And some space to stash milk before you leave for the end of the day. I loved after work cuddles! I worked from 7am to 3:30 as a teacher and was grateful to have half the day with my baby. Bedtime routine and baths were fun. I felt like I was more attentive because I wasn’t exhausted after a full day of being at home. I got to shower daily, be out of the house, get a work break, and be home able to give my baby my best self.
