Babies crying is a good thing

(Preface with my husband is a fire fighter) BUT nothing pisses me off more then when he says OUT LOUD in FRONT OF OTHER PEOPLE that babies cry and when they are crying, it’s not an “emergency” but when babies aren’t crying it is. He will argue with me till his is blue in the face that when babies cry, things are fine but when they aren’t that’s when there is a problem. I wish he wouldn’t say such ignorant things because he truly sounds ridiculous!! 😤😤 And although I feel I shouldn’t have to state the obvious because our child is almost 2 now… but he cries when he needs something or something is wrong, he needs tending to. Babies not crying when they should is a problem, idiot not the other way around!! End rant!

In a first aid capacity he is right. If you pulled a baby out of a burning house and they weren't crying then they would be a severe emergency, but day to day it's the other way around

...he's right

Or that's maybe bc I'm in med as well.

These are not emergency situations. We aren’t in a burning building. We are at home, or with family and he would just choose to ignore the cries of his son. I’m expecting baby 2 any week now so hopefully it will be slightly different this time
