We're going camping in June! I'm planning on taking a box of toys, some for in the tent for quiet time and a few for outdoors. I'm hoping he gets so tired he might actually sleep for once 😂 our night light and monitor are both wireless options so we'll be taking those. As for bed, I've not figured that out yet... We're thinking two double air beds, one for us and one for him (and me as I often end up in his bed at home!)
I have camping booked for August and I'm in the same boat. Following for tips! X
We've taken our son twice, he was 9 months then again at 18 months, he loved it, especially this time when he could run about in the field and play, we took his travel cot amd honestly waste of time he woke up within and hour and he normally sleeps right through, both times he ended up in our bed cuddled up because it was freezing at night, that's the only thing we struggled with, if you can get an electric hook up I'd recommend this time we toon a little heater and when we went to bed freezing and when we work during the night it was so handy to put on for 10 min to help get back to sleep, this time we didn't take our pram because he doesn't use it much but I wish we did because at night we had a fire so he had to be held the full time when he woke up, would have been easier to let him fall back to sleep safe in his pram x
Hi Emma! We just came back from camping! Second trip (first trip was when he was around 11 months old). We have an airbed for him, had to layer up clothes, sleeping bag and duvet because it was cold at night, might invest in camping sleeping bag next time. First two nights was a bit tricky but he was fine for the next two. We had breakfast in the tent before we let him run around, travel booster seat helped with other meals. We brough toys and balls and also a box we filled with water so he could splash around. We tried showering him once but he wasn't a fan, washed him down with a flannel at the sink the other nights. Good luck! It's hard work and hope you have good weather!
