I was away 3 days with my second birth. He was totally fine, hospital wanted me to stay longer but I refused and went home x

if I have no other complaints I will definitely do the same 🤣

I felt the same way! I had only ever been away from my son for maybe 4 hours before I gave birth to my daughter and was gone for 2 nights. Luckily he really bonded with my mother right before and my husband was there for him, everything turned out fine!

see my partner will want to be with me I’m fine with him being with my in laws coz he loves them and iv seen how they are with him but they both work so would have to be my mam if it’s over a weekday but my mam is very like her way or no way she’s always been very pushy with his feeding schedule with me when she was supposed to have him sleep over for the third time, I told her he has his dinner (a jar and pudding) at 5 she even phoned me at about 1 to ask what time he has his dinner again as she “forgot” and I said 5 but she though she knew best and gave him it after that phone call then he wouldn’t settle so I had to go get him and bring him home lucky our plans had gotten cancelled anyway so I’m abit anxious about her potential having him over night

I get that! I was very rigid with my sons schedule too and my mum can be very distracted so to say lol by the time my daughter was a week old my sons schedule was almost completely gone! They do just fine though, he adapted, got fed enough, slept enough and you'll learn to let go of those rules a little anyways when your managing two under two! It's hard to maintain with all the chaos! Your LO will survive a couple days and won't even remember!

I had this 2 months ago when I gave birth she was with my mum and what I did was I had her on video call (not like she had any clue what was happening lol ) but It helped and literally I gave birth at 10pm and asked to leave by 12 the next day so I could get back to her lol
