Same boat here! My daughter will be 5 in September. And it's been a challenge to throw myself out in the deep end
I'm glad I'm not the only one that struggles. We should start a group called Introverted moms in WI and we could have play dates for our kids and try not to be socially awkward with each other 😅
I am the same way!! Total introvert until we get to know each other then I’m more extroverted. I’ll also be extroverted for someone else if that makes sense. Like if I need to know something I won’t walk up to someone and ask, but if my friend needs it I totally will. Is that normal? 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ I have a 3 year old son and we moved to WI from NM Oct of 21 and I haven’t put myself out there to make friends yet. I’ve taken him to the library for story time and to a playgroup (once) then was over come with social anxiety and never went back. I feel bad for my son and I also would love to have friends up here. I think your group would be a good idea! I imagine all of us sitting in a circle waiting for the first one to laugh at the awkward silence and that would break the ice 🤣

It takes me a minute to warm up to ppl, I have 2 kids and one on the way! I used to always be at storytime like it was mandatory, would love to have friends and meet up there after baby comes! 🙃
I’m very similar. Also an introvert, only two kids. My oldest will be 4 in July and my younger will be 3 in September. I also really need some mom friends, but I suck at putting myself out there.
