What a JOKEEEE 😭😭😭😭😭
@Laura do you know how you go about pausing the pension? Thanks x
@Emily I assume you just contact the company and ask them to pause it 🤷🏻♀️ xx
If you’ve earned under your personal allowance for the tax year you won’t pay tax on it.
As in if you earn under what you usually do, you don’t pay tax?
As far as a I can tell, you’ll pay tax on it depending on what you’ve already earned so far this year, but you’ll get tax back at the end of the financial year as you’ll likely overpay tax on it
I'm wondering how long it will take to adjust the tax code. Planning to keep an eye on it!
You shouldn’t pay tax as the new tax year has just started In April therefore you’ll be under the threshold x
What a joke indeed, lol how much are we left over with😂
As Karlie said, I doubt u will pay tax as it is under the threshold x
It depends on when due, how much you earn etc. the cut off for the tax year April to March is £12,570. So if you take maternity in June but earn £5k a month between April and June, then you will be taxed on maternity take home. If you earn £2000 a month then you shouldn’t reach the threshold so will gain maternity and tax back for the months you paid in the first part of the year.
Thanks that’s so helpful!
We do indeed Also pension still comes out unless you pause it xx
