I was told at my I think it was 9 month review, to use normal toothpaste you'd use yourself, just a dab, the tiniest amount. Something to do with there not being enough fluoride in water or 0-2 toothpaste.

I was given a baby toothbrush and toothpaste from the HV for when she has teeth

No toothpaste for my 10 month old yet, only toothbrush.

@Megan me too x

Yes - we’ve used a tiny smudge of age appropriate toothpaste (NOT one you’d use yourself) since teeth first appeared

@Sarah I was just passing on what I was ADVISED.

@Laura fair enough - likewise! Many toothpastes mention their age suitability (or lack thereof) on the outer packaging as well.

I’ve been using it since her first tooth and starting solids about 8 months x

The 0/2 toothpaste we use since 1st tooth appeared Xx

I use tiny amount of baby toothpaste suitable for 0-2 on my little girls toothbrush. She's 9 months old now and got 4 fully grown teeth and 4 cutting through xx
