My GP, Paediatrician and also a specialist Speech Pathologist said no need to wait until they can sit unsupported, just ensure you get a good quality Highchair with a high back and footrest. You can use rolled towels to provide additional support if needed
I never thought to ask this 😂 I've been putting my bub in since 3 months- just adding some blanket/folded jumper in the extra space to keep her a bit more supported. As long as she was slightly tilted back- bum not touching the crease of the highchair she was fine. I didn't need to strap her in cause she didn't wriggle too much. Please Note: she was always supervised, I would not have her unstrapped without me being right next to her.
I bought the Oribel cocoon Z which can be used from newborn. Got a sale price on mydeal site it's been awesome I have been using it for a month now and she likes all positions the full upright one she is only just getting used to now she is nearly 5 months old
We just bought our high chair and my little one is 5 months too 😊 perfect age to start solids, we’re starting in two weeks. As long as your little one can hold his neck up, strapping him in for extra support will be fine.
