Orgasm and cerclage

I’m pretty sure I had an orgasm in my sleep from a dream I had… freaking out a like bit since I know that sex and orgasms are a no no while having a cerclage. What’s even more ridiculous is that I’ve been having really vivid dreams since finding out I’m pregnant and I think this book I read before bed caused a bit of excitement. I’ve also been feeling so so so sexually deprived. Feeling slightly anxious, looking for some reassurance

You should be alright as long as your not hurting and there’s no blood. I also have a cerclage and was cleared for external stimulation on my last visit, still no sex though. I was told to watch for contractions and bleeding.

There is very little you can do to control this type of thing, other than maybe staying away from books that cause excitement lol. It’s super hard to do especially if your hormones are making things worse. Try to avoid things that get you excited is all you can control really. It’s a long journey for sure. As long as you’re not cramping to bleeding you should be ok! I know there is some debate about whether or not orgasms really cause issues, some people with preventative cerclages are cleared for orgasms and even sex which I can’t believe! But just goes to show one orgasm in your sleep probably won’t ruin anything. I know it’s hard to relax though. Wishing you a safe pregnancy.

@Jennifer thank you! I’m hoping my doctor clears me for the same

@Victoria, you’re killing me. I’m already not moving much and my brain has become mush from watching tv. I’ve watched more tv during my pregnancy than I have combined in my entire life lol I’ll try reading the exciting books in the day and wind down with the more subtle ones in the evening. It’s hilarious how many things you can make sexual when you’re deprived lmao Thanks for the reassurance!

I had to ask, I’m sure she wouldn’t have just told me. If your shy, I’m not sure what state your in but in Oklahoma we have a MyChart thing and you can send a message kinda like an email to your doctors and they can respond. I use it all the time so I don’t forget questions that I have or concerns. Your very welcome! Hope everyone was able to help you!
