If you go through GP. They are able to provide you with a prescription for hay-fever tablets that you can take when pregnant
Info on the web is pretty patchy, friends have stuck with their usual cetrazine with their pregnancies with no issues so I've done the same. Internet suggested there was more info on taking lorodatine during pregnancy so I did make the switch but I didn't feel the baby move for 2 days after I started taking it, probably pure coincidence but considering lorodatine can make you drowsy, I've decided that was that cause 😂 switched back to cetrazine now and everything is back up normal!
When I phoned about a rash yesterday the midwife at triarge said take Pariton and that it’s actually ok to have
I spoke to triage regarding my hay fever as my chest was very tight and I was struggling with breathing. They advised piriton as that’s what they give pregnant women in the hospital. I only take it when I absolutely have to and it has been working wonders!
@Roxanne mine seem to think they can’t prescribe anything safky
I had the same issue, I was recommended by my midwife to use https://www.medicinesinpregnancy.org/ to search any active ingredients and whether they were okay during pregnancy. This year I’ve instead gone for nasal sprays over tablets as this website claims inhaled corticosteroids are safe during pregnancy
