Nuby rapid cool

We've just bought one as I'm not keen on having to buy ready mixed as well as formula. I didn't buy the kit because I think it's over priced (the hot water one is essentially just a thermos!). It's cheapest on amazon just now (£34). I've heard great things and looking forward to ours arriving today

I would definitely recommend it for on the go! I take one flask of hot water and the nuby but I don’t make the formula in the nuby otherwise it needs to be sterilised after it’s been used once and if we’re out for longer it’s not possible to do that x

@Tara how do you make up your formula without using it directly in the flask?

I pour all the hot water for the bottle into the bottle from the flask. Then pour all of it apart from 1oz into the nuby. Then add the formula to the 1oz of hot water in the bottle. The rest of the water i cool down in the rapid cool and then once green o add that to the bottle x

Thanks that sounds really useful for longer days out. I take it the 1oz of "hot" water doesn't impact the overall temp too much for it to matter so much? X

no it doesn’t! But sometimes when the nuby goes Green I do carry on shaking for a bit longer just to make it a little cooler and that does help. But I always squirt some on my wrist before I give it to baby just to make sure x

We used this kit and it’s honestly been so good, even for night feeds!
Would highly recommend!

I know it’s not a question for me, but I have the hot water in the flask, measure it in the bottle and put that in the rapid cool flask, add the formula and shake and then wait for it to cool :) then pour into the empty bottle!

There are instructions with it if I remember correctly

I just brought a thermos with me and sterile cold water and mixed it myself. I could also use a temperature gauge on my hot water but after awhile I just knew how long it lasted. Also very easy to get boiling water topped up from coffee shops and let it cool off a bit.

I bought it and never used it, passed it on when my baby was too old and they never used it either 😂

My baby sometimes doesn't have the 5 minutes you have to wait for the milk to cool 😂 I carry a flask of hot and flask of cool Boiled water
