How far are people going with their inflation? The instructions say you should go to 25cm but lots of online information says 30cm is ideal…

I got it to 32cm first time round. I’m up to 26.8cm this time so far. How about you? X

I’m at 30cm currently. It took some effort to get from 28cm up to the 30cm! 😂 I’d say it was more pushing out than ‘breathing out’, but relatively comfortable.
How was your first Labour? Do you think it helped? X

oh well done, that’s amazing. How many weeks are you now?
Yes I would 100% say it helped. I had no tears and I went in to labour with so much confidence - knowing I could do it, and that I had practiced for birth!
I actually remember at the final stages when baby’s head was coming out, I was thinking about how I can do this and I’ve practiced. X

I’m 39+4 so I’m literally ready to go. Just waiting for kick off!
That’s great to hear. It’s giving me a lot of confidence actually. The pushing stage was the stage I was most apprehensive about, and I’m feeling a lot better now!
I’m happy to have reached 30cm. If I can add another cm or two that would be great, but 30cm is also fine. I was actually surprised how easy it was to make progress. I remember starting and thinking even 25cm seemed like an impossible goal!

yep, you don’t need to be able to get it to head size. If you can get it to 30cm when you’re not in labour imagine what you’ll be able to do in labour. Just don’t let people tell you when to push. I think it’s one of the biggest reasons people tear. Just let your body do it when it’s ready. When the time comes you won’t be able to stop it! Xxx

thanks for the brilliant advice! I feel like I’ve got this 💪

you absolutely have! I think anyone doing Anibal has invested in and trained for the perfect birth. Just remember to enjoy it. You’re about to have the best day of your life! X

Ive just managed to get it to 25cm twice (all the times before Ive gradually and comfortably movrd up the scale) but it was quite difficult to push/breathe it out at the start it almost felt that no mattrr how manytimes i pushed and breathed it stayed in the same place (I hold the end of it with one hand thats how I know). I just dont know how to go any bigger. Do you reckon from your experience if I do another day or 2 of 25cm my body will get 'used' to 25cm and I can then go higher??? X

in my case absolutely. There have been certain points where a circumference felt quite difficult and required a lot of effort, but a day or two later it was suddenly easier and I could do it with little thought. I don’t know if your body just needs time to respond or if it’s the mental game! I stayed at 25cm for 4 days. I’m at 31cm now :)
If it’s not moving I’d also try some different positions. I think you’re already benefiting massively at 25cm so may as well experiment a bit with angles! For me, I all of a sudden found an angle (or a movement) that would help move things along…
Xx

yep I agree with what has said too. Keep going at the same size for a few days until you get used to it. Don’t stress, this is all amazing progress. And remember if you can get to than when you’re not in labour, imagine what your body is capable of in labour!

Hi ladies :) just as an update I had my baby. No tears, no cuts! All intact. Of course it’s impossible to know if the Aniball is the reason why but given I’m a first time mum, I think it certainly must have contributed!

congratulations!!! Xx
Thats amazing to hear that u had no tears and cuts!

did u Aniball help u with the pain and more specifically the crowning part?

I think so. There’s no denying that the whole thing is a unique and intense experience. For me, at the point of crowning there was sort of a lot going on (before birth I’d thought that crowning would be front and centre of my mind in that moment but to be honest it just wasn’t - you’re pumped with Adrenalin, you’ve got midwife/partner cheering you on). But I think the Aniball no doubt cut through some of the pain I would have felt, and having no tears/cuts my recovery is obviously a lot quicker and painless!

how are you getting on with it?

thats great to hear and glad the recovery will be quick.
I have reached 26.5cm its annoying u cant see how much u have pumped because not each pump moves up the dial properly as it seems some air is released so when I did 17 pumps thinking it will take me to at least 27cm it took me below that as 15 pumps took me to 26.5cm. I am 40w todays so I am definitely continuing with it! X

yeah I had the same. And sometimes it feels huge and you wonder if you’ve accidentally pumped it up to some wild amount 😂
Good luck with the coming days/weeks. Let us know how you get on! ✨

Thank u ! Xx

awww just saw this (this app is dreadful!)…. HUGE congratulations!!!!! I hope you’re enjoying the newborn bubble. Im really struggling to find time to do the Aniball this time round. I was so much more dedicated last time. Xx

how are you getting on Dilly. I always say the same, I wish there was a way to see how big it was before you start pushing it out! I’ve been keeping a little log on my phone of the size I got to and how many pumps that was. It’s not always accurate but it definitely helps xx

I usually count the pumps but it doesnt seem to the be same size in cm everytime annoyingly. I have got to 28cm! Yay! I am 10 days overdue so I guess I have a few more days to continue doing it. How are u getting along with it? I keep thinking if an average baby's head is around 35cm then my target is to get to 30cm 🤞x

oh exciting! Nearly there for you then. I was 11 days over with my first. Don’t let NHS start pressuring you with induction talk. Stay relaxed and if you can face it, have sex… that did the job for me! 😂
28cm is great, that’s where I’m at too! Also don’t forget so many people don’t do this at all, so you already have a head start, plus your body will be so much more stretchy when you’re actually in labour. Xx

Hahaa!!! thanks will let the partner know lol
I am currently 11 days over with induction booked tomorrow.
Yeah its such a great device i tell everyone about it because I've seen what a change and how easy it is now to get to like 25cm from where you start at 16cm where I thought to myself omg how am i going to get this out of me lol.
Good with urs xx

thanks!! We are very happy - in a little bubble at the moment. My husband goes back to work on Monday so that’s a bit daunting.
you are so close!!! It’s so exciting. Within days you’ll have your baby. Whatever route you decide to go down, you’ll be great. You’ve got this 💪
I found going overdue quite tough, mentally more than anything. But then she arrived - and all that is forgotten :) xxxx

thank you!!!! Hope u are enjoying the bubble must be special!
I totally agree it has been soo mentally hard to keep going and preventing negative thoughts from entering x

do you want to have an induction? Don’t forget you can say no. Might be worth joining the Facebook group called ten month mammas, and having a little read today. Whatever you decide to do, I’m sure you’ll be amazing! X

thank you!! Xx
I dont need to but my anxiety to ensure baby is ok and that he will be ok takes over and these last 2 weeks have been the most mentally and difficult weeks of my entire pregnancy worrying whats right, whats wrong, what can i do etc. X

I will join the group thank u x

omg the Aniball literally saved me during labour! It helped so much I cannot explain! Best purchase of my life! I pushed out in 10 mins our beautiful 4.25KG baby as a first time mum!

congratulations!!! How wonderful. I hope you’re recovering well and the little one is getting settled.
How are you feeling? X

awwww congratulations!!! That is amazing!!! Well done xxxx

Thank you both!
Im feeling well thank you only had 3 very minor 1st degree tears so still a little sore need to rest more but I have energy lol x

brilliant! Have they let you go home yet? X

yeah went home 12hrs after he was born x

hey girls! I finally had the baby last week and also had an absolute chunk. He weighed 4.58kg (10lb 1oz) and had no tears. Anibal really is amazing isn’t it! Hope you’re both doing well? Xx

congratulations!! That is absolutely wonderful. I hope you’re recovering well? Have you made it home?
I literally cannot advocate for Aniball enough. So glad I persisted, even when some people said it was a gimmick!

Hi congrats on your birth!
Which circumference did you reach by the end of pregnancy? I am 38+4 and been stuck at 25.5/26 cm for a week or two now 😅 not sure I can add move up

hi! I managed to get to 29cm this time but don’t stress too much. You body will go so much further when you’re actually in labour. I think it just helps prepare it and also helps you with the sensation so you’re prepared. Focus on repetition rather than size. You’ll probably find it easier and naturally manage to increase it. I’d often have days where I couldn’t get it bigger than the time before but that’s fine you’re still working on elasticity. Also imagine how much more you’re achieving that perineal massage! Good luck! X

yep same! I always recommend it to people now. Yep, I had the baby at home! Tbh it was so fast I would never have made it to the hospital anyway 😂
