I have a 9 yr old with autism and he’s nonverbal

I think you need to create opportunities for interaction with your child through some games, shared your stories to create a relax and enjoyable environment . I met a autism child when I was a preschool teacher. I usually tell him some stories about my own childhood experiences. Bu approaching him as an equal, seeking mutual understanding, and believing in him! He tends to express his emotions!
