Acid reflux

Hi mamas, my baby girl was born at 34 weeks. Once she came home from the nicu she developed really bad acid reflux, chest pains, vomiting. We’ve followed doctors orders and she’s now on a special formula and medication but still struggling/fussing/spitting up at times. She’s now 8 weeks and we’re doing everything we can but she can’t lay flat at all with out getting really sick still. We have to hold her or keep her upright some how at all times. How did you handle this? Will it get easier? I’m seriously struggling to get rest bc she is restless. She has a boppy pillow that keeps her head upright a bit and can sometimes go in that but I’m nervous it’s not good for her to slip in. Any advice is welcome.

It will get easier once she can sit on her own.

100% it gets easier. We had to pace feed keep upright for 40 minutes, and he’d still projectile vomit 2/3 times every feed. He was on omeprazole for 2 months before we saw ANY change. He now has the odd spit up. He stopped one day and hasn’t since.

For sleeping, we rolled blankets and put them under the feet at one end of the Moses basket so the basket was tilted

Colief drops before each feed was the only thing to help us. Not even prescribed meds wrkd
