Sex after birth

Do I have to wait until my 6 week appointment to “get cleared” to have sex, or can I go ahead without the appointment?

They didnt discuss anything like that at my 6 week appointment, it was mostly about the baby and controception. i had sex at 5 weeks and there was no pain! (vaginal birth and second degree tear) the nhs websit also says "there is no rule on when to have sex" so you dont need to wait 6 weeks unless you want to ofcourse!🙂 xxx
