Toilet games

My 15mo boy signals to us when he needs to use the toilet but nearly every day he starts using the signal to play a game… on and off the potty 6 or 7 times in a row. We don’t know whether to just go with it to show him that his signals have consequences (if he signals he needs to go then we go, and if he signals he’s finished we take him off the toilet) or do we ignore the signals once we realise he’s just playing the game again?? We’ve been doing easy catches since about 6mo, catch a lot of poo but not many wees. Any advice much appreciated!
