Diarrhea and purée baby food

I understand that when baby is starting solids they may have a bit of constipation or diarrhea because their stomach needs to get used to it. However, my daughter started at 5.5 months with a few of the store bought purée foods and she has been loving them. She had a little constipation but all good now. But now I’m using a food processor for her foods and they’re more fresh and she’s having semi-frequent diarrhea. 3 blowouts in the last week. What’s going on? I’m going to talk to the doctor next week but just wondering if anyone can relate

She is now 7 months by the way so we’ve been on solids for a while, but we barely switched to my own purées.

Is it a new food/ingredient?? I’ve had for babies under my care (foster care) and sometimes it’s the diaper that needs to be sized up, or that the baby is reacting to a new food. Also be mindful if you changed the soap you wash everything with

It could be yours has more water in it than the store ones in all honesty. And then drinking water on top of it can lead to more watery poops. You might need to size up as well just to contain it.

Each ingredient I use is pretty basic- Sweet potato, apple, kale, banana.. etc. and we’re using the same soap! My portions look appropriately sized, but I’m wondering if maybe they’re more than what he was used to? I’m so confused lol

@Chrissy Thanks so much for the tip! I might be using a little extra water, I didn’t think of that.
