Can Beta HCG test be showing false results?

Hello ladies. So i took a pregnancy test 2 days ago and i got a positive pregnancy test, it was a faint line, but i went in and checked with my doctor and she said that that is a positive and that i should go do a beta hcg test. So yesterday i did the test and my results were <0.100 mIU/mL. My AF has still not come and i really don’t know what is going on 🙈 Any advice and help will be much appreciated x

It sounds like your AHPT was a false positive as the beta HCG is far more sensitive and more likely to be correct

Thankyou both. It’s just so difficult because we have been trying for so long and finally grt what we thought was a positive 😓
