3 day potty training

We just started the 3 day method this morning since everything else we’ve tried hasn’t worked. It’s only been a couple hours so he’s only peed but he doesn’t seem to care if it’s on the floor…did anyone else try this method? Did it work for you and how long did it take to start working? Also what other methods are we using? I feel like I don’t even know what I’m supposed to be doing with potty training.

They will start using the potty when they want to you can’t push them all you can do is praises them and treat them with a treat when they do go on the potty.

I’m in the same boat with my toddler. We tried taking away pull-ups a couple months ago and the amount of accidents was crazy and she didn’t seem to care. Went back to pull-ups and have just been trying to encourage going to the potty, I keep books, pop it’s, stickers, bubbles all sorts of things in the potty. This way it’s still fun in the potty. Im planning on taking away the pull-ups in a couple weeks and trying again. Potty training is one of the hardest things

Switch to underwear, every hour put him on the toilet and make him sit there for about 10-15 minutes. Give him lots of liquids in between each hour so you KNOW he has fluid in his body and has to go potty. During the time he’s not on the toilet ask if he has to go potty. Give him praise and treats when he does. By him some cool underwear that he would like, e.g paw patrol theme or coco melon.

You could also try putting pants or underwear on him to limit the floor messes. Most toddlers don’t like being wet, especially from their own pee. If the concept of going to the potty is still fairly new (meaning they haven’t peed in the potty before), it’s important to go at least every hour. And I love what @Ashley said about giving him lots of fluids in between. He might also enjoy it if you have him stand up rather than sitting down. It might be fascinating to him to actually see what’s happening.

Potty training is tough 💙 And you’re doing the best that you can. In our first potty training session, we didn’t really know what we were doing but we just kept trying things and before we knew it, he was potty trained! You got this mama! 💙💙💙

Thank you everyone I appreciate all the suggestions & encouragement! Yesterday he peed on the potty 3 times & he was more excited about it once he got that first treat. so today we’re going to keep at it and see how it goes!

I would back off and start again when they are more ready. The more you push, the more resistant they will be.

If you are still struggling, read the book Potty training in 3 days. You can find it on Amazon. It's amazing & worked wonders for us!
