Playtime rejection

There's a bunch of kids play outside my house and I went out with my daughter. She tried to make friends and other than one nice boy who tried to include her they mostly told her to go away and kept running away from her. She didn't understand the rejection and cried. I really felt for her. Just wondering how other parents deal with their kid getting rejected. We went inside and after a big hug I got nail polish out for her

How old were the other children compared to your daughter? If they were older I would hold off bringing her outside to play with children she doesn’t know.

All different ages. Most of them were a couple years older but one had her younger sister with her who is the same age and I think was another similar age. Probably around 8 kids in total.

I got a notification I can't read/won't load in 🙃. She'll be 4 on 15th next month
