Bedroom entitlement

Just wondering if anyone can confirm as I’m getting mixed responses about entitlements having changed. Pinnacle are seemingly ignoring us. We have two children, one with disabilities, cannot for various reasons share a room with our toddler. Husband is expected to WFH four days a week, I WFH three days a week. We have an au pair who will be leaving us when this posting ends and another joining us a few weeks after the new posting starts. The au pair needs her own room. I’m being told we can only apply for a three bed. I get that entitlements for officers have changed but surely with all the above we should be able to request a four bed? I don’t suppose anyone knows the rules around bedroom entitlement and au pairs and working from home space as that’s what he’s been directed to do? Getting quite stressed as the three beds seem very small, and I really don’t think we can accommodate an au pair in one, we can’t really sleep on an airbed in the living room long term. The only other solution would be our two year old sharing with us which again won’t work long term.

Are you both serving? As far as I understand it, you're only entitled to an extra room for an au pair if you're both serving. Otherwise, it would be a 3 bed. My friend had an au pair as a single mum of three. She has recently got married again and had a 4th child and she has lost the entitlement to an extra room as her husband is not serving.

That’s what I think it seems to be too I’m afraid 🙁

I’m no longer serving. Unfortunately it just didn’t work with both of us being in with our eldest child. I may talk to pinnacle and see where we stand if it’s a carer rather than an au pair, his social worker has been pushing full time carers in the house for a while but I’ve been keen to avoid it if possible. Maybe it’ll be more for welfare reasons if it’s health related (which the au pair is, we have to hire specialist ones with healthcare backgrounds, I suppose on paper it just looks like childcare rather than me having to provide round the clock care.)
