I don't have a ton of money right now, but we try to get the baby at least one new toy for development each pay day. She seems to be grabbing and holding stuff like clothes and her burp cloths a lot. So I was thinking since it seems to be something she's interested in doing maybe I could get one of the baby tissue boxes. I don't plan to leave her alone with it or anything. Everything she does is supervised when it comes to toys. But the age range says 6 months and up. Is there a reason for that? Is it a parts issue or that she won't get any cognitive benefits from it just yet?

My baby loved this but was a bit older. No need to buy a fancy one—we bought cloth tissues off Amazon and then used an empty cardboard tissue box.

I made my own! I took a foam board and built a small box with a hole at the top, taped it all together with masking tape, colored the box with fun designs, and made felt tissues! She loved it and still plays with it now at almost 2 years old!

Most toy age ranges are just an estimate the only time you should really worry about it is if it has anything that could be considered a choking hazard. We got one around the same age and she loved it!

We got one in our loveevery subscription box I think when my lo was around 5 mo and she loved it. She just turned 1 and it's still one of her favorite activities although now she tries to do the same with any actual tissue boxes she finds 😂😬

I've also seen a DIY version using an empty wipes container and you just purchase the play cloth tissues or play scarves

that is super cute that it’s become an emotional support 😂
If you don’t fancy DIYing one, they are very cheap on Temu!

I got my 3 month old the sensory black and white book with plastic mirror, has a few soft pages and crinkles etc really good for sensory she loves staring at it and feeling the covers

There is Temu app where you can find a bunch of different toys way cheaper than for example Amazon, the quality is not bad and it’s really affordable
