You wanting to leave in general is a good enough reason. I don't get why people make it a trap or a game. If you're genuinely not happy, tell him and leave and work on that path from there. It's Hella narcissistic and gas light like to want to leave someone because your not interested but create a trap for then to blame them that's the reason you want to leave .
