I’m still very early in pregnancy, only 5+2 today, but I’m trying to be mentally prepared for everything now so that I can be ready to go once I’m further along. Can you list your absolute MUST haves for first babies? Thanks for any and all opinions and suggestions!!!

Congratulations! I would say a sling! It has been our most used item by far!

Nanit (monitor)
Swaddles
Sound machine
Diaper cream
Burp cloths
Pacis
ZIPPER jams (I love bamboo w hand and foot covers)
Lounger
Baby wrap (solly is my fave)

Diaper pail that keeps in smell trust me

Baby blankets, crib fitted sheets, diapers in different sizes, pacis, diaper bag, car seat, baby bottles, tons of wipes, walker, baby soap, shampoo, breast pads, baby carrier, high chair, (stroller??) I would stay away from clothes as some times they are seasonal and then harder to find. My baby absolutely loves her lounger, add some onesies, socks.....butt cream, gift cards also

Newborn outfits: have one or two if you want for going home outfit but the rest just regular onesies. Save the cute outfit for when they’re bigger and you’re going out more. I wasted a lot of cute outfits because my lo grew so fast and I absolutely did not have the energy to dress her up while we were at home those first few weeks

i don’t know how to tag you in something but i just made the same post yesterday and got such helpful comments!!! i think you can look at my posts and then look at the comments (they included brands and everything!)

I’d recommend you watch must have videos, just because the mom states why she loves the items and the ones she hates. I will recommend a car seat monitor over a baby car mirror

For you, a peri bottle for washing twice a day, adult nappies, big comfy pjs, a good sized water bottle . A breastfeeding pillow (even if bottle feeding) holding baby and a bottle makes my arms ache so bad 😂
Two nappy caddy’s, one upstairs, one down with all essentials in for changing baby

Two nappy caddies
Two changing mats
Play gym for tummy time
Breast feeding pillow (even if you want to bottle feed they are still so useful for aiding tummy time and learning to sit up)
Muslin cloths
Swaddles
Haaka if you breastfeed
Sensory tissue box (still my boys favourite toy at six months)

Swing, bouncer, bottle drying rack, crib sheets, medicine kits, forehead Thermometer

i tagged her to ur post for u

Diaper pail
Baby blanket
Diaper cream
Lounger
Car seat
Stroller
Diaper bag
Bottles
Wipes
Baby monitor
Changing table
Bassinet
Burp cloths (a lot)
Diaper caddy
Baby nasal aspirator
Car seat monitor (best thing ever)
Bouncer

I would say enjoy while you can and rest up in the first trimester. It can be exhausting. You have the whole of the second and third to prepare 😊🫶 but my must haves are a changing table (high up as I had emergency c section and couldn’t bend), a baby bouncer for him to go in while I do household stuff & the next to me crib. Perfect for breastfeeding while he was waking in the night and could just lean over! Congratulations & enjoy your pregnancy, it’s such a special time 🌸

This chair saved my life. My baby loves it

Sooooo many swaddles and receiving blankets

Baby carrier/slings/scarf it will still depends on your baby though 😊
We saved the fancy clothes when we were going out at home she was only with onesie
I breastfed her so I think it’s a must have to have a good chair/sofa when you’re comfy in (actually even if you bottle feed her because the 1st weeks are a bit hard (you just push out a roast from your 🐱/ or even c-section) so take it easy 🥰
And I prepared a lots of meals that I put on the freezer for those 1st days 🥰
