Transition to toddler bed

So after my lb climbed out of his cot 3 times last night I think it’s time we took the side off his cot 😩 I’ve ordered a bed guard to stop him rolling out but any other advice would be much appreciated! Thank you

So try and keep everything else the same, bedding pjs etc if possible so it all smells familiar.
Don’t change the bedtime routine, or make a big deal of it.
We let him play getting in and out the bed during the day so he knew what it was and not a surprise etc
But try and treat it as not a big deal.
My sons bedtime was a bit longer for about a week as he relaxed he could just get up and leave the bed but settled fine after that
