More babies

Originally my partner and I both wanted 2-3 children. Since having our first (7 weeks old) in the first 2 weeks my partner said he definitely never wanted any more and I was sort of in agreement but I knew it would pass (first 2 weeks were very rough and my partner is slightly traumatised from the birth as I lost quite a lot of blood and it scared him) l know it’s still very soon and his mind could change but it’s all I can think about. Obviously I COULD change my mind too and not want more but I can’t stop thinking about the possibility he won’t change his mind and it makes me so sad to think I might never be pregnant ever again or have the big family i’ve always dreamed of or ever get to have a daughter. Did anyone else’s partner say this and change their mind? I do think he probably will as he can be quite pessimistic and dramatic at times and he’s already gone from “never” to “keeping an open mind” 😅 but it’s making me so sad to think about

I’m the same to be honest, my husband always wanted two as he’s an only child and has since changed his mind to only wanting one, he is quite impatient so whenever little one cries, it doesn’t take long for him to give up and give her to me 🤷🏼‍♀️ he also said he only wants one for selfish reasons as he still wants to go on big holidays etc when he thinks having two will stop that completely. I think I would love to have another but if he’s adamant he doesn’t want anymore then I’ll stick with that 🙂

My partner was the same when my little one was that age but now says well we’ll probably have another one. I think he’s forgotten how hard it was 😂

The start is such a shock. My partner was the same up until about 4 months when we found our feet. We then conceived our second at 6m. We’re so different now to at the start since our priorities have changed and we’ve adjusted to the constant busyness so I’d say it just takes some transition time x
