I enjoy cooking but hate grocery shopping, I guess because I never feel like I do it correctly? It’s embarrassing that i’m a whole adult and I get so overwhelmed by it. Especially now with baby. On top of being overwhelmed spending $100 feels like you get hardly anything anymore. Does anyone want to share with me how they do it??

I go onto Pinterest and find the meals I want to make then separate the ingredients. The organization helps me get in and out of the store quicker

I make a list over the week of things that I either used up or see are running low that we use often - pb, creamer, milk etc.
Then I try to plan a few meals a week that will give me left overs so I'm not having to cook all the time. So casseroles, extra chicken, batch cook veggies type stuff.
Add ingredients to my list and then I take my time at the store. I feel like when I'm rushing even though I have my list I will forget something. When bringing my baby I try to wear her as she's much happier near me and I'm not stopping her from grabbing everything in sight 🤦.
It also helps if you have kind of a routine. So I know I'm always getting a cereal for breakfast and that means I'm don't need to look at everything in the cereal aisle so that cuts down on time in each aisle if that makes sense
thank you!!
thank you so much!!

Every Sunday my household sits down and makes a meal plan for the week and then I go shopping alone with my baby.
I also have a shopping route which helps a lot. I always start with fresh produce, shop the outside rows, and then the isles.
thank you!!

I just do grocery pickup. I make the order the night before and pick it all up in the morning. It’s no extra cost and i don’t have to worry about my kids crying in the store🙌🏻
However, my 2yr old really doesn’t understand the concept of shopping and thinks everything is his…

Do you have WIC or link card if not apply for both to help you out with food . Honestly I don’t cook because my boyfriend does but I do the shopping

But crockpot meals are the best

I plan what im going to eat/cook all week Saturday morning for the week ahead, and make a shopping list while looking at recipes. My grocery store has an app that lets you clip digital coupons and shows sales, so sometimes that helps me decide what to cook/buy. When i write my list, i try to group things together based on where they are in the grocery store (so like list all the produce together, then all the dry goods, so on). If im at the store and one of our staple items is on sale, ill buy extra if its shelf stable. It helps to have a little extra in your pantry if you miss a shop.
I wear my baby in a carrier when we shop and she loves it!!!
We are on WIC which really helps our grocery bill and their app is easy to use to find what products you can get.
