Having twins as well. Why can’t you know both sexes? Does it only read one?

it just shows blood in general, so if a Y chromosome is present it means at least 1 is a boy if they are not identical. If they are identical then obv both would be boys. If they are fraternal and you get a girl result then both are girls.

it's tougher for twins! for the NIPT test ( I took it at 12 weeks) if they find a Y chromosome present in your blood test that means you have at least one boy ( and can find out the second at 20 weeks). If you do not have a Y chromosome present that means you have two girls! I'm dying to know what the second one is! Haha

ahhh that makes sense! The way they explained it to me was that they could tell me exactly which baby is what because it gives me both of their dna’s!

i have di di twins so they have seperate sacs & placentas - idk if that makes a difference?

oh you have fraternal twins! I have identical so if mine are xx they are girls if they are xy they are boys. It’s a .1% chance of me having both sexes lol good luck on getting both!!!!

ahhh that make sense!! Yeah! I could have either boy boy or boy girl! Either way it's so exciting to know one I am totally heading to get some cute little boy things this weekend!
