Cold sore contact

I am a first-time mom. I started struggling right before my son was born, so I moved in with my dad and step mom. She had a cold sore breakout. I didn't know I didn't get that close to her, tbh but she kissed him on the lips and let him drink after her while she knew she had the coldsore. I'm in no position to be able to move out, and I can't risk making it where they are mad at us and asking us to leave. this exposure was almost 2 months ago. What's everyone's opinion about this? I'm heartbroken, pissed and just disappointed in her and my dad. He's had no signs of the virus it said 20 days after exposure, you would know. I don't feel confident he doesn't have the virus. I asked for testing, and his pediatrician said it wasn't needed. I'm just upset.
