My son is now a month old and has recently started struggling to pass his wind. I am EBF and will wind him during and after the feeds. I can be winding him in various ways for around half an hour. During the feeds he is really distressed as he is still hungry but if I put milk on top of wind that makes him sick.
Sometimes even after winding him I will put him down to sleep and within minutes he is crunching his stomach and clearly in pain 😞 does anyone have any advice? I am now introducing gripe water but wondered if there was anything else I could try. Has anyone taken their LO to a chiropractor and has that helped?

Mines exactly the same. Between 3 and 5am it starts. Nothing seems to help he's like it until he has a poo its terrible xx

It’s awful isn’t it. I’m going to ring a chiropractor on Monday and see what they say x

Same here, also between 3am-5am. we got some infacol, we've put his cot on a slight incline, doing some baby massage and I've been drinking peppermint tea. The last couple of nights have been slightly better. Fingers crossed it stays this way 🤞🤞

I’ve not heard of peppermint tea? Is that supposed to help?
Really pleased it seems to be working for you!

My midwife told me to try it! I've used it to settle my own stomach in the past so thought it was worth a try! And thank you 😌

I’ve been BF since almost the beginning
My boy is casein and dairy intolerant, you pass the protein on through BM… I went dairy free and it’s helped massively, it sucks but it sucks less than a screaming baby
Around 70% of babies/children are actually dairy intolerant x
