Sunshine Babies ☀️
I feel like Rainbow Babies get spoken about so much, and I understand their importance. But I’m here to share the term that I think is just as important to some grieving mothers - SUNSHINE BABY! ☀️
A sunshine baby is a baby born before a loss. A sunshine baby represents the sun before the storm.
I don’t know where I’d be today without my sunshine baby. He’s the only thing that got me through my loss, especially knowing that I won’t get a rainbow baby simply because my partner has decided we’re done with having babies after our loss. There’s really no other word to describe him either. He’s truly a little (cheeky) ray of sunshine!
I’m so glad there’s a term for a baby born before a loss, because I wouldn’t have the words to describe how much he’s helped me heal otherwise.

I agree.... Without my 1 year old, I don't think I ever would have made it through my miscarriage. Still struggling, but it was hard to spiral when you have a beautiful Bubba that is full of smiles
