Insect bites or shingles?

I'm 36+3 and I've got this rash on one side of my bump and side. I thought it was bug bites which was unusual because I never usually get bitten and no-one else in my household has. It is itchy and quite sore but because of my skin stretching the top of my bump is generally sore. I've not felt unwell, but it isn't getting any better. What do you think? Insect bites or do you think its worth getting checked?

I’ve been getting quite badly bitten in recent weeks and the bites have looked like rashes! Cleared up within a few days then you can see the actual bite so maybe just keep an eye x

I would advise to get it checked with dermatologist. And make sure they take a swab so they can tell you exactly whether it’s shingles or not. I had shingles ( only a few) on the back of my neck and it was so bad, really struggled with it for a very long time as nothing was helping. They were very itchy and had a bit of yellow dots inside

I have very similar and have been advised by my midwives that it’s PUPPP and can be caused when baby has a big growth spurt and your skin is stretched quickly

It's got worse and more painful throughout the day. Is there any treatment for PUPPP?

no treatment that I’m aware of other than creams to help relieve the itching. I’ve just seen someone else on here with similar and their GP has said it is shingles so may be best to get a second opinion x
