Washing baby clothes

What washing detergent do you use? My baby clothes just don't seem soft, I use fairy non bio and napisan and they smell lovely. I bought some second hand clothes online and when they came they were used but so soft to touch and I wonder how I can achieve this? I line dry or air dry usually, have tried tumble drying but not sure. Any advice appreciated x

We use fairy non bio liquid as well as the fabric softener which works for our stuff :)

I use the Lidl one and the tumble dryer. His clothes are mostly second-hand and they are soft. I don't use any softener as my HV recommended not to use it. I also only wash his clothes in the load.

I wonder the same thing! Second hand clothes I received were so soft and generally in better condition than mine at home. Wondering how people achieve this!
