Anyone else dealing with possibly having a smaller baby?

Which of your babies measurements were smaller? Our baby has a 3rd-6th centile head but more average stomach and leg measurements.
When they say they think he will be here are they planning to induce you?

i think the baby's weight is in the 4th percentile. I havent talked directly to my doctor about all this yet, but the nurses said they would probably induce me unless i wanted a c section.

I'm 32 weeks tomorrow and my baby is SGA, we've been to fetal med and we have weekly scans to check on her she's measuring below the bottom line they have mentioned induction between 37 and 38 weeks however no steroid injections x

Why do they think baby will be here early? are they planning to induce you? If so talk through the reasoning with the hospital but then go back to your midwife for advice x

Baby is measuring small cause of IUGR and possible blood restriction. I havent talked with my OB since thrusday before all this was thrown at me. I see my OB tuesday so i will definantly be asking for more info. They said baby might be here by 37 weeks and if not might still take baby early most likely through induction.

I'd want to ask them how sure they are that baby is not getting what they need as opposed to just being a small human. If it's the latter then I would have thought they are better staying in for longer.

yeah cause the nurses yesterday told me that measurements from an ultrasound can be + or - 2 lbs about so baby could be anywhere from 2 lbs to 6 lbs according to my ultrasound.

Our baby is considered SGA and on the 6th centile, we have weekly placenta scans and fortnightly growth scans since 28 weeks and are under fetal medicine. We won’t be allowed to reach term but will be induced early. The timing of induction depends on if the placenta continues to function normally. If the placenta/ blood flow becomes abnormal the urgency for to deliver increases and this may then change from induction to c section depending on how they think baby would cope with the stress of labour, also may mean more frequent scans.
