I have also tried putting her in an oat bath and that seemed to only temporarily reduce redness

My little girl was like this and has a dairy allergy, as soon as I switched her milk it cleared up within 24hrs! X

Eczema on the face is more often than not caused by an allergy. My LB has eczema on his face and he has CMPA. I wasn’t breastfeeding so once he was on a dairy free formula prescribed from the GP his eczema cleared almost immediately. At least until we started weaning and other allergies presented. It might be worth looking into CMPA and seeing if you think your LO may be allergic to dairy.

Good Luck! I hope you can get it cleared asap. It’s not nice seeing our LOs uncomfortable. You could also ask the GP about prescribing an antihistamine if it seems like LO is really scratching at it. Although not sure if your LO is a little too young for that yet. Also, keep hounding the GP about it. They can be quite laid back about it but if you aren’t seeing an improvement within about 3 days of applying a moisturiser cream and a steroid then that combination isn’t working and you perhaps need to try something different. I found that when my son’s face eczema was really bad and basically red raw, that the hydrocortisone seemed to sting him and leave it redder. We were prescribed a cream called Daktacort for his face which was amazing but I think it must be quite strong as they are really reluctant to prescribe it ever since.

at first I was BF then switched to cow and gate - that’s the day she broke out. They then gave me nutramigen and it got even worse! They wanted me to stay on that for a further 4 weeks but I took her to A&E and got puramino. Honestly like a different baby from the first feed! X

Looks like inflamed baby acne also. My baby had this for about 5 weeks. Nothing to do with dairy/lactose etc. So if it doesn't get better with cutting out dairy don't panic it's very common

My son was like this I had to switch his formula a few times because he has a milk protein allergy and corn allergy. He never wanted to latch as hard as I tried. So props to you for sticking to that. I would definitely bring it up to your daughters ped that her rash is actually getting worse and you don’t think it’s eczema
