Advice please???

I need some advice ASAP please. I have just tested positive for covid & I’m worried about little man. I can’t get through to my midwife as she’s useless. Does anyone know what I need to do?

Phone up in the morning to be on the safe side! I’m sure on the NHS website it says somthing about being in your 3rd trimester the advise might be different - but them lucozade sports drinks really helped me not sure if ur even allowed them but😂 hopefully you don’t get snowed under with it x

Can I tell you something to possibly think about? That not a lot of people agree with but.. Covid only affects/affected the people that already have something like asthma or heart problems or sicknesses.. even elderly.. I would only be worried if you have a fever, just keep an eye on your fever if you have one and all will be okay ☺️ trust me these drs want to stuff you with any medication they can so that way either you or your insurance can pay for it, don’t let this COVID thing stress you out remember the baby feels everything you are feeling

I was 36 weeks when I got Covid, just monitor your symptoms, stay hydrated, rest, take Tylenol or whatever it is you guys have for fever, and it should be okay.

I didn’t have asthma or anything but it did still make me seriously ill. I was vomiting with a fever, vertigo, body aches, and headaches for like a week.

I had it in the first trimester and it didn't affect me too badly as I'd had all my vaccines and boosters. I did some reading and it sounded like the main concern was if you had a bad fever. Still best to talk to a medical professional/look at reliable sources if you are in need of reassurance.

Get a pulse oximeter from your local pharmacy if you don’t already have one, it allows you to monitor your blood oxygen level which is important for baby

pregnant women are also at higher risk, particularly in the third trimester, due to the increased pressure on internal organs, etc. it’s likely fine if vaccinated, etc but the OP is correct to be on the lookout for any causes for concern

I had covid at almost 30 something weeks and all my gyn said was stay home, drink lots, eat well and take paracetamol 500mg if really needed. Or else honey with lime Juice for the immunity. In the end i was negative again in 4 days so all went well. But then my fever never went above 37,5 celsius. I would check by the fever if it gets high you go to the hospital!
