Postpartum bleeding?

It will be a worse period in the beginning , and in my opinion more clots. It usually last longer than your average period , I think postpartum I bleed for over 2 weeks straight, it did lighten up alot in the last couple days. I would say change your pad twice a night ,I’m a heavy bleeder too .

do you think diapers will work? I was thinking diaper + pads

Diapers are better than pads, you’ll bleed more than a normal period and for longer usually.
With my first I bled a lot, for over a week but the long pads had to be changed so often the first week and were so annoying that this time I opted for diapers for as long as I’ll have heavy bleeding, then will switch to overnight pads if needed.

how many times a day did you change the diapers?

I only had one or two at hospital, can’t remember (5years ago) but I said they lasted longer than the pads. Perhaps 4-5 hours whilst the pads were every time I went to the bathroom so every 2 hours or so the first 3-4 days.

My doula also told me that belly bands can help shrink the uterus faster so the bleeding doesn’t last as long! While I don’t have personal experience, I bought one hoping it helps as I also have very heavy bleeding due to endometriosis
