I’m in annual leave now at 30 weeks until I start my maternity at 36 weeks x

I’m currently 30+3 and I’m leaving for mat leave at 35+1 xx

i’m starting at 35 weeks x

I’m starting at 39 weeks x

I'm 30+3 and currently on leave until mat leave starts 2 weeks before due date 🤍

My mat leave doesn’t officially start until my due date but I’m taking two weeks of annual leave prior to that so I will be 38 weeks. I do work an office job though which means I’m sat down the majority of the time and I’ll be able to work from home.

39 weeks, depends what job you have I guess. I am lucky my office is 5 mins from my house and I can work from home. So the plan is I will be at home full time from about 35 weeks. X

I’ll be going at 38 weeks but have annual leave from 36 weeks, I work 13 hour shifts on my feet often without a break so will be happy when it starts x

ok im currently 29 weeks pregnant but i can feel myself slowing down im a cleaner for two jobs and only work up to 18 hours both jobs combined sometimes i only work 15 hours or less all depends i really dont know what to do as im still waiting for my maternity forms to come back from the goverment and i cant afford to live with no money for the next 11 weeks x

Annual leave from 35 weeks, mat leave from 38

I’m a teacher and going at 39 weeks. I can’t afford to be on SMP for long so trying to work as long as possible this side of the pregnancy so I get more time with the baby.

My annual leave starts at 34 weeks and my maternity starts on my due date x

I plan to start mine at 38weeks but I work from home which makes it mostly easier and I also plan to take one week of annual leave before May leave starts

I'm self employed so didn't want to take it till later but because of my job being physical and then I'm struggling with my iron I've decided to stop at 34 weeks. I'm at 30 weeks now and I really can't wait. I want to start now if I'm honest but I need the money because the maternity allowance is pathetic 😒 🙄 😑

i agree this is what im saying maternity is pathetic and me and my partener can not afford to live off of one wage before baby gets here i dont think i will.get anything apart from 27 pound a week maternity i will get more once baby is here but before then i will only get 27 pound a week and i cant afford to love off of that im really struggling and dont know what to do c

I’m the same! 2nd Nov is my due date so I’m just going to go until baby arrives! Probably give them Mon 30th as my actual start date when term starts up again 🤦‍♀️🤣

I am waiting for hmrc to get back to me so I can pay class 2 national insurance sontributions so that I can get a higher amount than the minimum 27 pound a week. But trying to get hold of them is a nightmare.

My last day is 13th October, I work from home though😊

So using annual leave to work part time 2 days a week (i wfh) in October from 32 to 36 and then officially starting Mat leave leave like 37 weeks xx

@Troy i believe it is now too late to start paying class two national insurance contributions you have to start paying that i think atleast 13 weeks before your due date.

Yes but I only pay my tax for this year next January. So it's not that I have neglected to pay it, just that is how the system is set up. But I know others in my profession that have been able to get the higher maternity allowance by firstly making the voluntary class 2 national insurance contributions. I know it sounds silly that you have to pay them before they will pay us but it is possible and even though its a ball ache they will apparently back track the payments from the week you tell them you start mat leave. I'm not one for benefits but considering how much I pay into the system the least they can give me is 170 something a week for the 3 or 4 months maternity leave I plan on taking. I won't be able to survive the full 39 weeks off.

Mat leave starts on due date but taking 4 weeks annual leave before then so I'll be 36 weeks when I go off

im getting mat leave from the goverment as i dont earn enough so i think i can tell them when i would like it to start x

I’m not finishing till a week before due date but I work from home. My Mat package is crap so wanted as much time off after as possible

I’m finishing on 10th November due 22nd would love to finish earlier but being self employed and a hair stylist I can’t risk loosing clients esp as I’ll be off around Christmas 🤦🏽‍♀️😂 hoping I make it until the 10th nov my back and feet are feeling it now after the long days

you should definitely count. Ive still got about 3 months to go but I really can not wait

My maternity starts on the 15th October (due 15th November) but I’m actually finishing on the 15th September (4 weeks annual leave to use)

im due the 17th of November dont think i will be able to finsh till the 4th of November as mat pay is shit

My last day is at 35 + 1 day - I have 2 weeks of holidays to use then officially start maternity at 37 + 4 days

I'm struggling so much with fatigue already - count down has begun x
